I write Go and TypeScript, and I build systems that scale quietly and never go down. Right now, that means getting live readings from thousands of hydrologic gauges across the USA onto a map that millions of people check every day.

Outside of work, I keep terrariums and carnivorous plants, and I'm into audio engineering.

  1. Senior Full-stack Software Engineer

    2026–current

    Orion Network Solutions

    • Build and maintain water.noaa.gov, a Svelte and MapLibre GIS web application integrating ArcGIS services, used by federal stakeholders to visualize, query, and analyze water sensor networks, hydrologic datums, and forecasts.
    • Lead end-to-end development of the site’s Water Supply feature, partnering with federal stakeholders to define requirements and bringing thousands of NOAA water supply sensor locations onto the interactive map with hydrographs displaying forecasts, observed data, and historical statistics.
    • Develop a high-availability Go, PostgreSQL, and PostGIS data pipeline on AWS, ingesting live readings from hydrology gauges nationwide and serving millions of requests daily for continuous water-level monitoring.
    • Architect a configuration service for a distributed, cloud-native platform supporting critical national infrastructure, letting teams update gauge metadata without redeployment.

    Interrupt LLC, Palm Beach, FL

    • Architected and developed a scalable Discord bot application using Go and PostgreSQL, serving the fintech sector with Dockerized cloud-native deployment, dealing with proprietary algorithms and time-series market data.
    • Implemented a CI/CD pipeline with AI-assisted code review and test generation, ensuring reliable delivery and 99%+ uptime for production systems.
    • Built a responsive web application using React and Next.js with TypeScript, deployed via Vercel with automated deployment workflows.

  3. Full-stack Software Engineer

    2021–2025

    Infotech Inc., Gainesville, FL

    • Architected a CMS and deployment platform migration using AWS EC2, S3, Lambda, and TypeScript that reduced maintenance burden for 3 developers, cutting release cycles by 50% and generating $5,000 yearly cost savings.
    • Modernized a mission-critical employee management system by architecting a full-stack solution using TypeScript, Vue.js, Sequelize ORM, and Express, reducing technical debt and implementing an automated CI/CD deployment pipeline.
    • Future-proofed the tech stack by re-implementing vital core libraries and testing in TypeScript.

    Frame-by-frame animation in the spirit of a certain older flipbook app on a certain two-screened console. Onion skinning, playback speed and looping, paint and eraser with dynamic tool sizing, timeline frame management, undo/redo, and export to multiple file formats.

This is a small selection of the carnivorous plants and terrariums I keep. This includes a wide variety of taxons, from bryophytes like sphagnum to monotypic families with no relatives, like the Cephalotus below from Australia.
